Pastor Charles joined Oakland UMC on July 1, 2024.

 

Pastor Charles is a local licensed pastor for the UMC. He is a single father with two teenagers and work full time as a High School teacher for Carroll County Schools.

 

In his spare time, Pastor Charles is working on his doctorate in ministry at the Ecumenical Institute at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore.  He is a lifelong learner and teacher. 

 

Pastor Charles has been in church work and education, in various ways, since the early 1990’s and is very happy to be part of the church in Sykesville.

Myfanwy joined our staff in 2019. She lives in Littlestown, PA with her husband Steve and four sons. She earned her BA in Music at McDaniel College.

Jaclyn has been the Church Secretary since 2010 and had attended Oakland UMC since a child. Jaclyn earned her BA in Music at McDaniel College. She is married to Zac Wilson and has two girls and one boy. She also works full-time are the Carroll County Public Library and heads up the Family Ministry events here at Oakland.
